Long-Term Program

  • Exchanges 2011-2012
    • 23 Outbound: 7 to USA & Germany; 3 to Canada, 2 to Denmark, 2 to France and Taiwan, & 1 to Mexico.
    • 19 Inbound: 6 from USA; 4 from Germany; 3 from Canada; 2 from Denmark, France & Taiwan.
  • Inbound Allowance: $70-$100 monthly for 10 months
  • Age Restriction: Less than 18.5 years on August 1
  • Inbound Insurance: Applicable in Brazil
  • Field Trips: no cost to inbound students – Salvador & Southern Bahian regions
  • Optional Bus Tours paid by student: 6 to 30-day bus tours to various regions in Brazil
  • Counselor Appointed: Yes
  • Outbound Orientation: Yes
  • Inbound Orientation: Yes
  • Smoking Permitted: No

Short-Term Program

  • Summer Exchanges:For two New Generations college students, we have programmed a reciprocal exchange during December 2011-February 2012, with the USA. This exchange is for non-paying internships in organizations related to agriculture.
  • Academic Semester: For the 2011-12 program we want to arrange two academic semester exchanges (8-10 weeks) to Europe or North America.
  • New Generations: We are continuing New Generations exchanges for college students to Europe & USA in Summer 2012-13, begun eight years ago.
  • Inbound Insurance: applicable in Brazil
  • Optional Trips: Salvador, Lençóis and Porto Seguro regions.
  • Optional Tours organized especially for YEP students run from $390 to $1,380.*
